Snowforce 2016 recap: Staying Ahead of the Curve with Lightning

By

Last week the Salesforce Evangelist team got to spend time with our amazing community at Snowforce 2016, and I have to say that our community rocks! There are so many great events like this one — Midwest Dreamin’, London’s Calling, Forcelandia, SE Dreaming, and Tahoe Dreamin’ that are great opportunities for Admins and Developers to connect. We are part of an amazing community! Looking back at the history of Snowforce and how collectively the community came together to have more than a user group. Their passion for connecting fueled growth in 2015 and continued commitment lead to 2016 and over 450 registered attendees! I want to give a special shout out to our organizers- Daniel Hoechst, Drew Dayton, Evan Johnson, and so many more whose passion helped make this event as great as possible.

We are on a journey together

Whether you are an Admin, a Developer, or an End User we are on a journey together of growing our skills and delivering business value back to your organization. Everything starts somewhere. From an idea, a passion, or through motivation the first step is taken. But success doesn’t come overnight. Success is a journey, and it’s one that we are on together. With Spring 16 we help you on that journey by delivering even more exciting features. Click here to see the presentation that we took the Snowforce attendees on last week.

The sessions (and food) were amazing!

From AwesomeAdmin Hacks to IoT sessions Snowforce had a session for everyone of every level. The venue provided plenty of room to network, hang out, and connect with other attendees. As a fun way to break up the day the Snowforce team brought in food trucks that provided a variety of yummy goodness over the lunch hour.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Snowforce team closed the event with Dr. Craig Manning, who has been working with athletes and companies at the highest level of competition to understand and apply the science of high performance in gaining the competitive edge needed to win. It was really a great way to end an exciting day of learning.

But what there’s more!

Not only did we have a chance to present but the Admin Evangelist team got to connect with some of our biggest podcast fans! Gillian and I recorded an episode live with Jake Martin- long time listener, first time guest- to talk about how the community has fueled his passion for learning. You can listen to the episode here.

And the following day many of the attendees enjoyed a day of skiing and hanging out in the lodge. Another fun year in Salt Lake City! If you have an opportunity to attend a community event near you don’t pass it up!
