TDX 2025 call for participation

The TDX 2025 Call for Participation Is Now Open!

By

TDX 2025 is the must-attend event for admins, developers, and architects building the future with Agentforce. With two days of immersive hands-on learning, attendees will dive deep into technical topics during sessions on the latest Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform innovations, all while connecting with product experts and fellow admins and Trailblazers. Save the date and join us on March 5-6, 2025 in San Francisco, or tune in on-demand on Salesforce+.

Today, the TDX 2025 Call for Participation is officially open, and we’re excited to invite members of the Trailblazer Community to share their expertise and experience at TDX. We look forward to receiving your submissions!

The TDX 2025 Call for Participation will remain open until Friday, November 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PT. We will inform all submitters of their session’s submission status in early December.

Why should you present at TDX 2025?

Presenting at TDX is an opportunity to showcase your Salesforce Admin expertise and connect with the Trailblazer Community by sharing your experience with Salesforce. From implementation best practices and solution stories to career advice, we encourage you to share your session ideas with us!

What types of sessions can you submit?

You can choose from the following types of sessions to submit:

  • Breakout Sessions (40 minutes): These sessions are held in dedicated rooms with a larger audience capacity. As they are in 40-minute blocks, presenters will have ample time to deep dive into specific topics. This format also allows audience members to engage with the presenter and ask questions. We recommend 35 minutes for presentation delivery, leaving the last 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Theater Sessions (20 minutes): These sessions feature technical solutions, product demos, and technical expertise. Presenters can deep dive into a specific product area or share how a solution was built across many features. While this format typically doesn’t allow time for Q&A or discussion, speakers are encouraged to answer attendee questions on the show floor after their presentation.
  • Community Campfire Sessions (20 minutes): These smaller, interactive sessions are entirely community-led and designed to spotlight the skills, expertise, and learnings that can help elevate Trailblazers’ careers in the Salesforce ecosystem. These sessions are hosted in a smaller theater, so they should be conversation-focused and only use a limited number of slides.

What topics are we looking for?

We’re looking for engaging, technical, expert-led sessions that provide content to help admins, developers, and architects build their skills, deliver innovative technology solutions for their organizations, and elevate their careers, like the following:

  • Speak on a technical topic where you have deep expertise and experience. This includes a specific feature, a solution you built, or a topic you feel passionate about that is supported by your personal experience. The first step in getting your audience to love listening to you is to love what you’re saying!
    • If you’ve tried some of the latest Salesforce innovations, such as Agentforce or Data Cloud, consider sharing your experience.
    • If you’ve had access to a pilot or beta, then you can share your unique insight on upcoming features and changes.
    • We’re also looking for content on all Salesforce Admin, Developer, and Architect topics, including well-known and established technologies such as Flow and Apex. Great sessions about these topics are typically very successful, but hard to find, so don’t be afraid to submit your ideas!
    • Cross-cloud content is very powerful as most real implementations and solutions span several clouds. For example, this type of session could showcases an integration between the Salesforce Platform and Slack.
  • Share your tips, tricks, and inspirational career insights. Have a topic that doesn’t require slides or a demo? The Community Campfire is a great place to share advice on networking, overcoming workplace obstacles, using AI in your job search, and other empowering tips and tricks to help Trailblazers excel in their careers.

What is the session proposal submission process?

If you’re not sure how to get started, the reference guide below can help you craft your title, abstract, and other required information:

  1. Proposed Title (60-character limit): Provide an overview of the topic that you will present to a technical audience (developers, admins, or architects). Make it very clear to attendees what they’ll learn. Tip: Start with a verb and include the name of the product or technology.
    1. Example: “Deep Dive into Agentforce for Developers”
  2. Proposed Abstract (200-character limit): Craft a short paragraph that dives deeper into what your session is going to cover. Be creative! What are you going to explain? What are you going to build or demo? What will your audience take home with them and share with their teams? Address the WIIFM (what’s in it for me) benefits. Tip: Accuracy and clarity are more important than creative prose. Be careful with AI-generated titles and abstracts, as they can feel inauthentic and impersonal. For more writing tips, check out our Trailhead module on voice and tone.
    1. Example: “Join us to learn how Agentforce for Developers is incorporating new features to make you a more productive developer. Listen to lessons learned from a year using it, and discover the feature roadmap.”
  3. Why should this session be presented at TDX (1000-character limit): Further explain the importance of your topic. Use this field to share any additional relevant details not included in the abstract. This content helps us make a final decision on session selection.
    1. Example: “This is a topic where I have a lot of experience as I’ve been involved in three customer implementations where [ … ] was key. These are the main takeaways that I would share in my presentation at TDX 2025: [ … ]. This will be the structure of the talk [ … ]. I’ve presented about this topic before, and the session was very successful. You can read some feedback I received here [ … ].”
  4. What is the suggested length of time for your proposal (picklist): Select from Community Campfire, Theater, or Breakout (see full description of these session types above).
  5. Session level (picklist): Select the most relevant level that best applies to the technical expertise of your target audience. We aim to achieve a balance of beginner, intermediate, and advanced sessions.
  6. Who is the primary audience of your content (picklist): Select the appropriate audience for your session.
    1. “Developer” for content most relevant to developers and attendees who code
    2. “Administrator” for content most relevant to admins, and attendees building with low-code or no-code features
    3. “Architect” for content that is focused on architecture skills and knowledge
  7. What is the primary product that your content speaks to (picklist): Select the main product your session will be about (e.g., Salesforce Platform).
  8. Add your proposed Primary speaker and Co-speaker(s).
  9. If you have more than one topic that you’d like to propose, please complete the submission process separately for each topic. There’s a maximum of five submissions per person.

Please do not submit the same session to multiple tracks as the audiences are typically different. If your session is broad and inclusive of multiple audience types, choose the most applicable as the primary audience, and tell us more about the session in the title, abstract, and the “Why should this session be presented at TDX?” field. We will ensure your session reaches the right audience.

TDX receives hundreds of proposals to fill a small number of speaking spots. Therefore, as you create your submission, think about how you can make yours stand out from the rest!

What happens after I submit a session proposal?

Once you submit a proposal, you’ll be notified of your submission status in early December 2024. Your proposal will be reviewed and selections will be made to ensure the right mix of content across our technical audiences.

If your session is accepted, we’ll guide you through the session preparation process, which includes coaching you to prepare your content, reviewing your slide deck, and rehearsing your session. You will also receive a complimentary speaker pass to attend TDX 2025. If you’ve already registered to attend, you will receive instructions on how to either refund your registration or transfer it to someone else.

If your session is not accepted, don’t get discouraged! There are many other opportunities to present at other events, including Trailblazer Community conferences and Trailblazer Community group meetings.

If you want to hone your presentation skills, be sure to check out the Public Speaking Skills Trailhead module.

Ready to submit your presentation idea for TDX 2025? Complete the submission process by Friday, November 22, 2024, 5:00 p.m. PT. We look forward to hearing your great ideas!
