6 Newly-Certified Awesome Admins Share What They Learned at TrailheaDX ’18

By

March was a big month for #AwesomeAdmin Trailblazers! We welcomed Trailblazers to San Francisco for TrailheaDX ’18.  And, all over the country, we celebrated National Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day!

Making their own history (or her-story, if you prefer), many women joined their #SalesforceOhana in San Francisco to blaze new trails in their careers by attending the 3-day Bootcamp. Today, we’re celebrating these 6 incredible ladies who came to Bootcamp, aced those certification tests, and shared what they learned from their experience at TrailheaDX as newly-certified #AwesomeAdmins!

Kim Vlasnik is excited about doing new things in new ways

“I loved hearing real-life examples of how other administrators are tackling business processes with Salesforce – like using a dashboard to identify all of the different records a user owns, and AppExchange packages I’d never heard of before. The whole #TDX18 experience got me thinking about new ways to do things.”

Michelle Hansen is ready to help create the vision for her company’s future

“Probably the best thing I learned at TDX is that being an admin is much bigger than just being able to add fields or create new processes. It’s up to me, as the Salesforce expert at our company, to help create the vision for our company’s future with Salesforce and how leveraging the tools available can help us become a better partner for our customers.”

Lacey Hancher realizes just how much there still is to learn

“My favorite thing that I learned from TDX this year was how much I still had to learn – just when I think I’ve mastered being an Admin, sitting in a Salesforce bootcamp class or watching a demo about evaluating user experience or talking with my fellow Salesforce Admins about how they’ve solved problems reminds me that there’s still so much to discover!”

Elizabeth Aste feels empowered to blaze new trails

“The best part of TrailheaDX was having the opportunity to level up my skills while connecting with the community. I left TDX feeling empowered to blaze new trails and inspired to help others along the way!”

Susannah Kate St. Germain is taking on the challenge to grow the number of Salesforce CTA

“At #TDX18 I learned that there are only 10 @salesforce CTAs in the world who are women. IN THE WORLD. Thanks for the challenge…let’s go!#bethechange

Jeanette Jett felt the full force of the #SalesforceOhana

“Since becoming a part of the Salesforce ecosystem a few years ago, I had seen and heard about how supportive the Ohana could be. I personally felt it, in full force, at TDX attending the architect bootcamp. I especially loved how all of the ladies, given the knowledge that there are only 10 female CTA’s in the world, bonded together and encouraged each other to succeed. Not only at TDX but beyond!”

Now we want to hear from you! Did you ace your certification during bootcamp? Learn something incredible at TDX18? Both?! Share your successes and learnings with us on Twitter by tagging @SalesforceAdmns and #AwesomeAdmin. We can’t wait to see where the next set of trails take you!

Introducing Security In Action: A Hands-On Workshop for Admins

Security in Salesforce doesn’t usually come down to one big decision. It’s shaped over time by a lot of smaller ones—how access is set up, how permissions are assigned, and how users are managed as your org grows.
