One of the biggest themes at Dreamforce this year was Ohana – meaning ‘family’ in Hawaiian. On the Admin team, we love to see our Salesforce Admin Ohana each year at Dreamforce – and one of the biggest gatherings of our Dreamforce Admin Ohana happens in the Admin Keynote.
Our Admin Ohana is absolutely inspirational. Across the community – we’ve seen people taking time to give back and help others be successful and find their next job in the Salesforce ecosystem. We’ve seen Salesforce Admins & Developers partner with GirlDevelopIt – an organization that teaches women Salesforce and development skills. We’ve seen Admins meeting up for Salesforce Saturdays – to help teach each other best practices, learn new skills and do Trailhead modules together. And we’ve seen an amazing customer-organized movement – Trailhead4All – using Trailhead to teach Salesforce skills at nonprofits, schools and community gatherings.
The Admin Keynote focused on three key themes we’ve seen within our Admin Ohana – leading, innovating and pioneering. We look around the Admin community and see the most successful Admins do these three things day in and day out to make their users more productive, make their companies more efficient and to grow their skillsets and careers.
Successful Salesforce Administrators lead by example. Admins know that leadership can come from any level of their company. With the release of Lightning – Salesforce Administrators have the opportunity to lead their companies to the future with the newest technology. Leading your company through enabling Lightning is truly a chance to supercharge your career in the process.

Great Salesforce Administrators are passionate about using technology to drive innovation in their companies. Innovation is core to a Salesforce Admin’s DNA. Successful Admins love to challenge the status quo and constantly look for new ways to streamline processes and deliver value for users & the company. With the Winter 17’ release – Admins have more tools than ever to innovate. Process builder, Lightning Flow Components and SalesforceA all have amazing new features to help Admins innovate faster than ever.

Another trait we see in our amazing Admin community is curiosity. Admins are curious, problem solvers, and love pioneering new ideas. With the launch of Einstein, Admins can become data scientists. Admins embed intelligence into Salesforce applications, helping their users work smarter and be more predictive about their customers.
