#AwesomeAdmins from all over the world and from many different skill levels descended on San Francisco to take on Dreamforce last week. We loved seeing you all learn, connect, have fun, and give back! And we’re excited to share some highlights and encourage everyone to keep it up! Dreamforce may be over, but that means there’s a ton of great learning content – and of course some MOAR fun – coming your way!
Here are five ways attendees engaged, and you can too!
1. Discover your #AwesomeAdmin Superpower(s)
What makes an #AwesomeAdmin a superhero you may ask? Well it’s your #AwesomeAdmin Superpowers, of course! Throughout Dreamforce, Admins visited the Superpower Finder in the Admin Meadow to discover their strongest Superpower and share it with others. A mix of strengths, skills, preferences and a little fun magically determines whether your dominant Superpower is Productivity, Innovation, or Connections. Each one is important for #AwesomeAdmins to develop so make sure to chat with others who have different Superpowers to hone them all!
2. Amp up your #AwesomeAdmin Superpowers
At the #AwesomeAdmin Keynote we shared how Carlos Umana from BMC champions productivity with Lightning, Nana Gregg from JLL delivers innovation with Lightning and Einstein, and Katharine Clark from Vetforce connects experiences with Community Cloud integrations. Thousands of you joined us online, too! Still need to watch the recording? Check it out here!
Start applying your learning and get hands-on with the new features and functionality we showed in the demos with the DF18 Admin trailmix. Complete the trailmix by October 31st, 2018 to get a special #AwesomeAdmin SuperCloudy badge!
3. Learn from your peers
With over 125 theater and breakout sessions, the Admin Track was one of the highest attended tracks at Dreamforce! 20-minute theater and 40-minute breakout sessions allowed you to access the very best knowledge that your #AwesomeAdmin peers had to share. You learned best practices and tips about so many different features and topics: Lightning, Change Management & Adoption, Process Automation, Reports & Dashboards, Security, Data Quality, Einstein, Mobile, Einstein Analytics, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, and Integration Cloud (including Mulesoft!).
Check out the Salesforce Admins Facebook page for a few sessions and stay tuned for all the recordings coming soon!
4. Make time for fun!
Attendees enjoyed a break from all the learning with fun sessions like #AwesomeAdmin Ohana Feud and Lip Sync Battle in the Admin Meadow! Though we can’t replicate those online, follow #OhanaFriday on Twitter for a weekly dose of fun and Ohana love among the #AwesomeAdmin Community.
5. Give back
#AwesomeAdmin Keynote attendees got a special surprise after watching Alimali Stephen, Salesforce Admin at the Karibu Center in Nairobi, Kenya receive a Golden Hoodie. Attendees received Organic Savanna Lip Balm provided by Salesforce. The lip balms are produced by the Karibu Centre’s social enterprise to employ local families and each lip balm funds a week of education for a Karibu Centre student. Learn more about how you can give back via the Karibu Centre.
Experienced Admins also gave back by sharing their expertise as volunteers at Admin Meadow demo booths. They presented in the Admin Track to share best practices, tips and tricks. That’s the special sauce that makes Dreamforce such an amazing learning experience for Salesforce Admins at every stage!
And, it doesn’t stop there! There are many ways for Admins to give back to the community during the year, whether it’s answering questions in the Trailblazer Community or presenting at your local community group meetings. In fact, you can join a global gathering and share what you learned this past week!
