With the In-App Learning with Trailhead beta in Spring ’21, we’re bringing the fun and familiar Trailhead experience right into the app where your end users work. Every end user will now see a new global header icon that launches a new interactive side panel where they can complete Trailhead modules and earn badges. As an admin, you get to control the content that your end users see in the panel.

With In-App Learning with Trailhead, end users see modules that are assigned to them or that they are working on, all within Lightning. From In-App Learning, you can assign modules to end users, and they can click into modules and earn badges right from within Salesforce! They no longer need to toggle between Salesforce and Trailhead. Not only will they save time but can also learn content relevant to what they are accomplishing in Salesforce.

You can create learning that displays for anyone, anywhere in the app, or you can target learning to specific pages for specific audiences. You can also empower your business stakeholders to create learning, without giving them the keys to the kingdom. With the new “Manage Learning” User Permission, you can enable business stakeholders to curate and assign modules to others. For example, a sales leader with the “Manage Learning” User Permission could curate and assign modules for their team members based on their team’s training needs or commonly asked questions specific to their role. This places their training content right where they need it — in the flow of work!
