Spring ’21 is bringing MOAR productivity to Service Cloud for admins.

Service Setup Assistant makes it easier than ever for admins to get started with Service Cloud. It quickly accelerates the journey to get you and your org up and running on Service Cloud. It frees up more time to focus on the business side of the process and accelerates your time to value.

With Service Setup Assistant, you can get your team going to support customers and close cases quickly. Service Setup Assistant creates an out-of-the-box Service App that’s based on industry best practices. It brings these best practices right into your org, which means your agents are able to collaborate and solve issues faster. Within a few minutes, they can start confidently supporting customers on Service Cloud.


New in Spring ’21, Service Setup Assistant also enables Chat, Messaging, and Knowledge with proper licensing. Knowledge comes with a default profile, permission set, article layout, and content fields — making it easy for teams to collaborate and maintain a centralized source of information. Default Omni-Channel queue-based routing is also available in Spring ’21, which helps route work to agents so that they work on the right items in the right order. There are also prebuilt Case Status picklist values, which let agents update case statuses right away. And finally, in-app walkthroughs explain Service Cloud’s productivity tools set up through Service Setup Assistant. For admins who enabled Service Setup Assistant in previous releases or purchased upgrades, there’s a manual update that can be applied to get the most up-to-date Service App.
