Break out the champagne (or sparkling cider) because this is something to celebrate: We’ve now got an easy-to-use, modern way to build beautiful email templates! The Lightning Email team has been working hard to deliver “an email editor that doesn’t suck” from the IdeaExchange (thanks, SteveMo for the suggestion), retiring 5,750 points with this new feature.
You can now create email templates in Salesforce using a modern and sleek drag-and-drop builder that is built natively on the Salesforce Platform. No code necessary. The builder has responsive HTML design, so you don’t have to know any fancy tricks to make beautiful email components. Insert images, merge fields, and add some delightful prose to create an email any customer will love. And — wait for it — YES, this email-building experience is the SAME across Sales, Service, and Marketing. So, if you can build one in your Sales app, you can build one in your Marketing app as well — and share them across your organization.
To set up access to the new Lightning Email Template builder, you simply enable the “Access drag-and-drop content builder” user permission. You will then see this awesome new builder available anytime you create a new Lightning email template.
