Upcoming Maintenance on Admin Playground sign-up

By

Heads up, #AwesomeAdmins – we’ll be performing maintenance on our Admin Playground sign-up infrastructure this weekend. During this maintenance window you won’t be able to create a brand-new Admin Playground. You’ll still be able to access any existing Admin Playgrounds. This maintenance is needed in order to bring the Winter ’16 update to new Admin Playgrounds. To get ready, review the Winter ’16 release notes and catch the recording from this week’s Winter ’16 release highlights webinar.

Here’s the timeline for this upcoming maintenance:

Friday, October 16, 2015 2PM PDT: New Admin Playground sign-ups pause and maintenance window begins.

Saturday, October 17, 2015 9PM PDT: Sign-ups resume for users in the AMER (North, Central, & South America) & EMEA (Europe, Middle East, & Africa) regions. Users outside these regions will see an error message when trying to create a new Admin Playground.

Sunday, October 18, 2015 1PM PDT: Maintenance window ends. Sign-ups resume for all users.

Note: These times are approximate. Make sure you’re following @SalesforceAdmns on Twitter, as updates will be posted there.

This same announcement applies to Developer Editions.

If you think you will need a new Admin Playground during the maintenance window, we encourage you to sign up for a new org right away. Again, access to existing Admin Playgrounds will not be affected.
