How Salesforce Admins Can Prepare for Dreamforce 2016

By

As a Salesforce Admin, we are on the go, nonstop. From meetings to discuss process improvements, to end user training, I know that we will be busy right up to the first day of Dreamforce.  So with a little less than one month to get all your Dreamforce things in order I wanted to give you a simple checklist to help you prepare for Dreamforce.

Use Trailhead to get Dreamforce ready!

Did you know there is an entire Trailhead Trail devoted to getting you Dreamforce ready? That’s right! In just 30 minutes you can learn- What is Dreamforce? Dreamforce is the amazing, must-attend annual Salesforce user conference. People gather from all over the world to share ideas, learn new skills, connect, and be inspired. With over 1500 breakout sessions, keynotes from thought leaders, an incredible expo, and a rockin’ gala, Dreamforce is the world’s largest technology conference. Simply put, it’s THE place to be for the Salesforce community.

Start networking now by connecting on Chatter

Now that you are all signed up for sessions (or maybe you still are working on that), connect with Dreamforce presenters on the session feed. Navigate to any session that you are attending or would like to attend and start interacting with the presenters. Find out what topics they will be covering and maybe get a sneak peek at some of their draft slides.

If you are a presenting at Dreamforce, the chatter feed is a great way to connect with attendees early. Find out what questions or topics they are hoping will be covered. In addition, you can share draft versions of slides. But the collaboration doesn’t end there. Use the session chatter feed to collect questions during your presentation and get them answered.

Pack accordingly and win!

Experienced admins, tweet us pictures of what you will pack and bring to DF16, to help new admins get prepared for this event!  If you’re in need of some inspiration, listen to the ButtonClick Admin podcast Dreamforce Playlist to hear from Mike and Gillian, who have been giving tips each episode.

Use #DFgear to submit your tip for a chance to win! One lucky #AwesomeAdmin will WIN a choice of 2 VIP tickets to the Admin Keynote or a mystery prize pack!

Need help picking sessions? Check out the Salesforce Admins Slideshare for Expert Pick sessions, Hidden Gems, and other must attend Admin sessions.

Introducing Security In Action: A Hands-On Workshop for Admins
