Manual sharing

Admins care about allowing users to manually share records and seeing who has access to each record. We know this because you’ve given this idea 36,660 points on the IdeaExchange! Sharing records is a key way to share information between users within your organization, and with Summer ’21, your users can now manually share individual records with each other when appropriate by selecting Sharing in the drop-down menu atop the record page.

You can also now see who has access to records by selecting the Sharing Hierarchy option in the drop-down menu atop the record page. This will make it so much easier for you and your users to grant access to individual records, and see who has access to them and why.

We hope these enhancements to record sharing help you more easily manage visibility of data within your organization, and enable your users to get what they need quicker and more efficiently.
