Automate This! — Flow Features You Can Use in Record-Triggered Flows

By

Welcome to another “Automate This!” In this live-streamed video series, we cover all things automation, from use cases and best practices to showcasing solutions built by #AwesomeAdmin Trailblazers like you. With automation, you can remove manual tasks, drive efficiency, and eliminate friction and redundancy. In this episode, four community Flow experts showcase a Flow feature you can use in record-triggered flows.

As you’ve probably heard by now, workflow rules and processes are being retired and we’re moving to one builder tool for declarative automation—Flow Builder. We wanted to take the opportunity to explore some of the many features in Flow that may be new to admins starting to dip their toes into creating flows. What better way to do this than to have four awesome #Flownatic Trailblazers—who are Women In Tech powerhouses, by the way—showcase one of their favorite Flow features?!

  • Nana Gregg is a legend in the community, alright. A Salesforce MVP Hall of Fame and Legend of Low Code, Nana drops her admin knowledge on LinkedIn and through various community events regularly. Nana’s Flow feature is text templates.
  • Nadina Lisbon is a Salesforce MVP, a leader of the Austin Developer Group, and a RAD Women coach. Nadina’s Flow feature is testing and debugging.
  • Sarah Pilzer is a Golden Hoodie Recipient and a “How I Solved It” repeat guest, including the limited series on Salesforce+! Sarah showcases loops, a not-so-easy concept for new admins learning Flow.
  • Aleksandra Radovanovic is a Salesforce MVP and co-leader of the Vancouver Community Group. She was my first guest on Automate This! where she talked about her experience with migrating workflow rules and processes to Flow. Aleks discusses the power of formulas in Flow.

Check out these four features showcased by these Flow experts. Then, we want to hear from you. Which features are you going to try out in Flow? Tell us about it!
