The IdeaExchange is where you can share ideas with the Trailblazer Community and Salesforce Product Managers. Throughout the year, you use your voice to shape Salesforce products by posting and upvoting ideas, then prioritizing top ideas three times per year. Typically in January, May, and September, during a 2-week Prioritization cycle, anyone with a Trailblazer.me profile is given 100 virtual coins to allocate to the ideas they want to see on product roadmaps. Then, we use the results to determine which new features to build for upcoming releases.
In the current Prioritization cycle, September 9 – 26, 2022, you will notice a new and exciting experience: Prioritization by cloud. Whoa, what is Prioritization by cloud? Excellent question! Starting with the current cycle you will have 100 virtual coins per participating cloud to allocate to ideas up for prioritization. This means you will be able to amplify your voice, and the power of your coins to focus on ideas in clouds that mean the most to you! Participation will vary cycle to cycle as product teams continue work on larger/more complex features prioritized in previous cycles.
Before you run off to participate in our first multi-cloud prioritization, we want to celebrate the 6,000 Trailblazers who participated in the May 2022 cycle. Awesome job to all who prioritized! Now, let’s take a look at our winning ideas you’ll see delivered in upcoming releases. Shall we?
1. Sales winner: Opportunity line item splits
Many customers use a team selling motion to drive success with multiple products and multiple team members. Opportunity line splits will ensure that deal management is streamlined and team members are properly credited for forecasting and compensation. Estimated GA: Summer ’23.
2. Consumer Goods: Capture device geolocation on check-in
This will enable capturing of GPS coordinates and timestamp on visit start/checkin. Estimated GA Release: Winter ’24
3. Consumer Goods: Rename the photo
Through prioritization, you told us this is still something you want. This will enable the field rep to rename the photo taken at the store before attaching it to the visit or retail store record in the retail execution app. Estimated GA Release: Winter ’24.
4. Consumer Goods: Pause a visit
This will allow users to pause a visit once it has been started. Estimated GA Release: Winter ’24.
Maybe some of your ideas are winners and will soon become new features through the release planning and development process. Then again, maybe you submitted an awesome idea to the IdeaExchange, but it didn’t go up for Prioritization.
